Prepare the vehicle and order
Work orders opens the specialized workspace when the Automotive workshop and Assets modules are active. Its views include Work orders, Vehicle fleet and Maintenance.
Add the vehicle with its registration, relevant identity and owner.
Open an order for that vehicle manually or from an eligible accepted quote.
Enter the symptom, intake mileage, technician and due date.
Record the intervention
Record the diagnosis and work authorization in the detail view. Add planned parts and consume them when actually used: planning a part and removing it from stock are separate steps.
Log time spent and inspection points. Protected corrections, such as a stock reversal or reducing mileage, require a manager and a reason where requested.
Close and hand over
Closing is blocked until authorization and the final check are validated. Check these items instead of creating a new order to bypass the block.
After closing, record handover. Under Maintenance, schedule a reminder by date or mileage; mark it complete only after the work is done.
