Jobs, deposits and progress invoices
Track the value of the works, progress and retention, then invoice each step of the billing schedule.
The job record
Each request becomes a record: call-out, job, contract, rental or assignment, depending on your trade. In its Progress and invoicing panel, enter the value of the works excluding VAT, progress as a percentage and, if the contract provides for it, the retention.
Invoice a step of the billing schedule
The billing schedule lists the steps to invoice: deposit, progress claims and balance of the works, each with its amount excluding VAT and its due date.
Link a customer to the record: without a customer, its steps cannot be invoiced.
Add a step: deposit, progress claim or balance, with its label, amount and due date.
Click Invoice: the usual invoice form opens with the step, its label and its amount.
Choose the VAT rate for the line, check the mentions, then save: the step becomes Invoiced.
A step is invoiced only once
The invoice and the step are linked when the invoice is created: a step that has already been invoiced cannot be invoiced a second time.
The retention is released through its own step, Retention release, on the due date set in the contract. When your trade shows them, the Progress claims to invoice and Retentions to release indicators on the overview flag what is falling due.
